 June 29, 2002-Adana's Agenda
It seems as if we were wrong about my niece. When I think back, it was all too easy. Adana had been defeated so swiftly but as we've found out, she wasn't 'defeated' at all. The body that we thought was Adana was actually a clone. I know it sounds hard to understand but I think Dash and I figured it out. When the team went to Crystaire to help the Crystotts, they left Jodin alone in Oma's home when they went into the caves. Adana must have somehow morphed as Jodin and accompanied the others back home. She moved my brother to an unknown location. The Adana that everyone thought had been killed in the cave was in fact, a clone. Then the real Adana carried out the next step of her evil plan. She kidnapped Graystar. How I wish I would have realized all of this before that dear child was taken. And then to top things off, Cae arrived at SereJedi at my request. The thing is, I hadn't been in touch with her for a while. Adana again. Now we must go back to Korriban. I haven't said anything, but I really don't wish to go there. But if I don't, everyone might think I don't care about Gray or Jodin. That's not the case at all. I just have so many bad memories about that place that I fear I might not function at my highest level. And when you're dealing with a Sith, you must be in top form. Perhaps I'll talk to Dash about this. He most likely would feel better if I stay home. Besides, I think I'll swear off anymore missions until after the baby comes. Which won't be too much longer.
The Doctor in Centrum Prime told us that our little girl is developing very well. She's healthy and so am I. At least that's some good news for this journal entry.
 August 4, 2002-Happy Endings
My, I seem to have lost a month of journal writing. A lot has happened to keep me busy however. In my last entry I wrote about Graystar and Jodin being held by Adana on Korriban. That ended happily as our team journeyed to the Sith planet and rescued them.
Then it was my turn to feel Adana's wrath. I had recieved a comm from one of Jodin's buddies who said that he had some information about my niece. The only thing was, it wasn't Neely who commed me, it was actually Adana disguising her voice. If I had only waited for Dash before I left, the next turn of events may not have happened.
I reached the rendevous point and entered the abandoned warehouse in the old shipyards. I couldn't find Neely and was getting ready to leave when Adana's henchmen ambushed me and dragged me to their ship. If I wasn't pregnant I could have put up a good fight but I wasn't about to take that risk.
We went to Korriban.....again. It was deja-vu all over. It was bad enough being kidnapped twice but being held on the same planet by Sith was a bit too much.
Adana put me through a great deal of anguish and physical hardship but the worst part was when I saw Dash enter my cell. I thought he had come to save me but instead he went right to Adana and took her in his arms, passionately kissing her. My heart began to break. But then I realized something. I hadn't felt the bond in the Force that Dash and I always have. I knew that something was wrong. This man couldn't be Dash....but who was he? The answer was soon given. Adana had cloned Dash from a sample of my husband's hair that Cae had kept in order to do the same thing.
I had to watch, sickened as Adana and Dash cavorted in front of my eyes. I was pretty sure it wasn't really my Dash but still...it was hard to watch.
Things soon changed when I heard Cae's voice telling Adana the game was over. Then I saw my true love entering the room and I knew that I would be rescued. Things were a little tense, what with the clone and Dash, Adana and Cae, all fighting. And then poor Jessa being zapped by Adana's force lightening was too much to bear. I began to feel labor pains and prayed that my little girl would wait just a bit longer to enter the galaxy.
I tried to send healing balms to Jessa and encouraged her to move out of the way but I wasn't sure if my strength would reach her. I think it did, for she managed to slide out of harms way just in time.
Cae defeated the clone and when Adana saw that, she fled from the tomb. I think she's gone to regroup and I'm sure she'll be back with a vengeance. Cae went after her and I'm sure she won't rest until she finds her wayward daughter. I send the Force with my sister and hope she returns to us soon.
My labor pains started to intensify as Dash picked me up in his arms. He hurried Jessa along and we made our way to the Outrider. The ship was still in good shape and Dash quickly got her off the cursed planet and headed for home.
Baby Kara didn't care where she was or what was going on and I knew she was getting ready to be born. So Dash and Jessa did what they could and followed my instructions and soon after we took off, our second child was born. She's a beautiful little baby and looks just like her daddy. In fact, she's already very attached to him. When we returned home I tried to breast feed her but she just wouldn't have it. Frustrated, I've had to bottlefeed her but even then, she gets fussy. Except when Daddy feeds her of course. Then she's a little angel. Cooing and smiling up at him. I have a feeling she's going to be quite a handful. Our newest little Rendar scoundrel.

August 11, 2002-Mission to Askalan
On request of the Council we made our way to the Askalan system today. The planet has recently shown interest in joining the Republic but with unrest between the Worker and the Socialist parties it was time to deploy a diplomatic team to try to work things out. I had come up with an idea to make both parties happy but unfortunately, things didn't work out the way I'd hoped.
When we arrived it was apparent to me that Jessa was in deep emotional turmoil about being on the same planet where her Master had been asassinated only a short time ago. It was also odd that she decided to stay on the Outrider instead of attending the meeting with us but I didn't have time to delve further into her state of mind. Time was of the essence. So, Jessa stayed behind on the ship while Auresta, Satori, Dash and myself set off on our mission.
When we exited the ship we found that the Worker party had sent mercenaries from the Red Moon group to meet us and 'discuss' possible solutions. One thing I know is that with mercenaries the only solution they know is a violent one. But, we were willing to try anything to solve the dispute. A very vulgar man named Saron Orc was the leader and along with his lecherous sidekick, Kesson, bade us follow him to their headquarters.
As we followed their group I could feel Kesson's eyes on me. It wasn't a nice feeling and I was very tempted to give him a Force push that would send him into the Kessel system. However, I was more concerned with Dash who also knew what Kesson was up to and I hoped he would keep his temper. We couldn't do with a battle before we even got started negotiating.
We began our talk with a round of the worst tasting ale I have ever had. But to appease these mercs we sipped the foul brew cautiously and before long the talks began. They didn't last long. Just when I thought we might have a break, Jessa came storming in and I could tell the darkside was with her. She wanted blood, mercenary blood. The blood of the men who killed Master Matoro. Dash tried to reason with her but she was blind to anything but the revenge that taken over her senses. She threw Dash aside with a powerful burst of Darkside energy and continued to cut down any merc who got in her way.
While I was attending to Dash, who had been slammed into a wall, Jessa came up against another mercenary. An odd fellow by the name of Fly Solo. We couldn't see a face for all the strange wrappings around his head. Then something odd happened. The merc produced a lightsabre. How many mercs did I know that carried lightsabres? A couple. Just as I began to think I might know who Solo was, it was revealed to everyone. It was Methai, who had been undercover in the Red Moons for some time.
She and Jessa continued to fight and Jessa continued her slaughter of the mercs. She killed quite a few in cold blood but the worst of all was when she killed Kesson. It was really very sad to see such a promising Jedi throwing her life away. She became extremely angry when Orc turned tail and ran and as she continued to fight Methai I began to wonder how in the galaxy we would ever calm her down without violence between us too.
While I was tending to Dash and healing his wounds I began to think of Jessa's master. I called out to Matoro through the Force and tapped into the other world. Slowly, a shimmering image appeared and the spirit of Jessa's Master spoke to her. She eventually began to calm down and as the image faded away, Jessa slumped forward and returned to her former self. She was very ashamed and rightfully so and it took a while before we could get her back to the ship.
When we finally returned to the Outrider, we also took with us some prisoners that Jessa had freed from the Red Moon ship that was docked beside us. She hadn't stayed on our ship at all but at least she did some good before she lost her mind.
Jessa remained very quiet on the way back and I didn't speak to her again when we returned to Ando.
On our way home we encountered some more of the mercs ships who weren't so agreeable to our escape. Dash put Methai at the controls of the Outrider and he and I each went to a gun turret to hold off the attackers until Methai could get us to hyperspace. We did a great job and got home safely with only a few scratches to the hull. I'm not sure, but I think Auresta might have a few gray hairs after the wild ride. I'll have to check on her and with Satori. That little girl is going to be a great Jedi. She kept her cool in the heat of battle and never once let her emotions cloud her judgement. She could teach Jessa a few things.
Auresta took Satori home to the Academy and I told Jessa to wait at the ship until Grandfather came to get her. Gerran was there and I knew she would watch over the errant padawan until he arrived. Methai and I helped Dash back home and I got him safely to bed. Then I went to report to Grandfather who was very saddened to hear about Jessa. I'm sure he will do the right thing by her and by the Jedi Order and I will do whatever I can to help.
After I left his study I checked on Soryn, Gray and Jacy and then went to the nursery to get Kara. She was hungry so I took her downstairs for her bottle and introduced Methai to my little girl. We talked for a little while and then went our separate ways. In Whildary that is. Methai is staying for a while.
And Jessa? The last I heard she was trying her best to stay exactly ten feet above the floor in the grand hall at the Academy.....all night long. One of Grandfather's little punishments. I know, I had to do that once when he was babysitting me. I was about two years old and I wanted some juice. He was busy and asked me to wait. I was too impatient and I wanted that juice....NOW. So I went to the cooling unit and got the whole pitcher out myself. Grandfather had decided to give his little princess what she wanted but he waited a little too long. As he came around the door of the unit, I screamed "JUICE NOW!" and proceeded to throw the entire contents of the jug into the air. The juice managed to land conveniently on my grandfather's head and dripped down all over his new tunic. I was still his princess, but my crown was definitely crooked. He made me levitate ten feet above the floor for two hours. Two years old, two hours of punishment. Needless to say, I know how Jessa must feel. Hmmm, Jessa's about nineteen years old.....oh dear.
August 18, 2002-Class in Session
It was very quiet at Whildary today. Dash was working on the Outrider, Oma went into Moy with Viktor and Rula. Rhe and Koshay were off-planet with the cubs and Gray was at the Academy. Grandfather took Soryn with him to SereJedi to attend one of Auresta's classes. I'm not sure where Jacy got to after breakfast. He was probably playing or he might even have gone to attend the class as well. That left me and little Kara all alone in the house. I can't say that was bad though, it was nice to spend some time with my daughter although she seemed to keep looking for her daddy. She's so attached to him which is a wonderful thing but I'd like to think that she's just as fond of me. Somehow, I think Dash is going to have his hands full as she's growing up. Just a hunch. After breakfast I spent some time doing a few little tests on Kara to see how Force-sensitive she is. I found that she does have some but at this time it's too soon to tell if she is initiate material. She's certainly not as gifted as Soryn was at that age but of course, whatever the case and whatever she choses to do, I'll accept that unconditionally. Around eleven o'clock I started preparing lunch and got as much done as I could ahead of time. Then I bundled Kara up to go and meet Gray and Soryn to bring them home. Just as I was leaving however, Viktor, Rula and Oma came back from town and insisted I leave the baby with them. It was a cold day, so I agreed and set off on my way to the Academy. I was nearly there, when I spotted Auresta and Gerran talking to a little girl. I later found out that the girl's name is Sadie and Gerran brought her here from Crystaire. She's Force-sensitive and Gerran thought it would be good for her to sit in on Auresta's class. Sadie is a very pretty little girl. Red hair, green eyes and very sweet, but very shy. She had some kind of altercation with Graystar and seems to be very angry with him about his treatment of Soryn. I really can't see that but I'll talk to Gray when I see him. Which I did. He was playing zoneball with Soryn and the other older boys and as I watched I couldn't help think of how Cae and I used to play with the other kids when we were little. Cae would always want to win and she'd do anything to achieve that. I guess that was a small sign of things to come. It was getting late and close to lunch time so I called the boys and excused myself from the others. We went our separate ways and I took the boys back to Whildary for the rest of the day.
